Alysia Pekel from Western Cabinets designed this sleek and functional kitchen as a modern addition to the clients’ 1920s-styled home. The layout is restrained for a timeless aesthetic, while the distinct zones incorporate ample space.

The clients requested a highly functional kitchen and scullery that would integrate seamlessly with the extension, while incorporating an abundance of natural light. To achieve this, Western Cabinets installed a window splashback and a skylight which have an energy-saving effect.

The soft colour palette enhances the natural light while remaining visually cohesive with the rest of the home. Negativedetail handrails were selected for the cabinetry to achieve a streamlined aesthetic. All drawers were installed below bench height for easy access and optimised storage potential.

Positioned alongside the slide-out scullery, the fridge and pantry are integrated within the cabinetry to foster the sleek visual appeal. An abundance of bench space combines with four Miele ovens to provide the perfect chef’s kitchen.
